| 6 - Linda 2011-05-19 04:42:57 | I live in CT and will moving to Tellico Plains next year. We do all out major shopping at Costco and although Knoxville is still a distance, it is a lot closer than 3 hours of driving. Please consider a Costco on the middle east side of TN. |

| 13 - Pat 2011-03-16 09:39:14 | moved to TN from MI 3 years ago - was devastated no Costco within 120 miles - so, drive to Nashville - now there is one in Chattanooga - so only 90 miles - but, PLEASE PLEASE come to Knoxville - that will only be 5o miles. |
| 14 - Jim 2011-03-07 10:18:31 | as a former employee of Costco high would highly recomend you coming to the knoxville area!the 2 local Sams club would not be any compitition for a warehouse here. Costco would beat them hands down with quality of items, services, member service & cleanliness. |
| 15 - jeff mcindoo 2011-03-03 06:02:40 | My wife and I just moved to Knoxville from southern California 6 months ago. We both agree Knoxville needs a Costco!!! Sams Club just doesn't cut it. It is ok, but not on par with quality like the Kirkland brand name. The food court at Costco is even superior. Costco, please consider opening a store in Knoxville TN! |
| 16 - Pat Martin 2011-02-23 09:14:31 | Knoxville needs a good store.... Please come to Knoxville, Tennessee Costco! We can't afford to keep driving hundreds of miles to a good place to shop. |

| 18 - J Wilson 2011-02-14 07:00:04 | BRING COSTCO TO KNOXVILLE! I don't care WHERE it is in Knoxville. People will drive from all over! Driving 20 or 30 minutes beats driving 3 or 4 hours any day. Just BRING IT! (PS - why does selling alcohol have anything to do with it? They have one in Nashville and Memphis, now it's K-town's turn!) |
| 19 - Kat Rivers 2011-02-02 15:10:28 | I think TN would have many more Costcos if the silly law about grocery stores not selling wine would change. Petition your legislators to get that changed. See http://www.redwhiteandfood.com/ Maybe we'd get Trader Joe's too! |
| 20 - Tonya Hamilton 2011-02-02 10:07:37 | Costco is the first place I go when I visit my parents in Memphis. I like Costco so much better than Sams in Knoxville. Please open soon in Ktown. |
| 21 - Gunjan 2011-01-23 20:45:22 | I am sorry, my last name got inserted in place of the zip code. I use google chrome and it filled itself automatically and I didnt notice. Gunjan |

| 29 - Lance George 2010-12-15 11:12:25 | I lived in Atlanta in 1992 when Pace Club was swallowed up by Sam's Club and began sending letters to Costco pleading them to come tpo ATL. They came in 1996. I moved back to Huntsville AL in 1998 and began writing letters in 1997,they came in 2000. Keep it up! (They do not like Tennesee's wine laws though, one of the reasons Chattanooga's is in Ft. O GA) Knoxville has the right demos for Costco! |
| 30 - bob 2010-12-03 16:33:57 | Chattanooga got a Costco before Knoxville? Really? What demographics were they looking at? |
| 31 - J. Paul Bacarro 2010-11-30 15:58:50 | I was a member of the original Price Club in San Diego, and a member of COSTCO in Fairfax, VA. | 42 - P. Redd 2010-05-02 15:04:03 | Knoxville NEEDS Costco. Ok, relocated here from MI after I lost my job. When I realized I would have to relocate one of my conditions was I needed a Costco. AHH, NO Costco. A year later and I am still having Costco withdrawals! In MI I was at Costco 2 to 3 times a week and almost had them convinced to give me my own parking space. I tried Sams and after a couple of months I realized there is no point. I can get the same things in regular stores at the same price. I let the membership drop, but still keep my Costco membership – even if I can only get there twice a year. PLEASE bring us a Costco!!!!! |
| 43 - P. Redd 2010-05-02 14:04:59 | Ok, I relocated for a job. One of my conditions was there had to be a Costco. UGH - no Costco in Knoxville! In MI I rarely went to a grocery store and considered myself a "Costcoaholic". Best store ever - best quality, guarantee, best everything. I went 2 or 3 times a week. Got a Sams club membership here and was profoundly disappointed. Rarely went and let the membership expire. Still have my Costco membership. Thank God for online shopping. But PLEASE bring Costco to Knoxville!!!!!!!! |
| 44 - sheila Roy 2010-05-01 23:46:51 | I think that Frank Rimshaw is right on the money. He even has a source cited to back up his argument. Bring on Costco! |
| 45 - REBECCA O'DELL 2010-03-04 16:36:21 | COSTCO beats Sam's Club by a long shot! I've shopped at COSTCO since the 80's when they began to emerge out west! Far better prices and product quality than any warehouse I know. I read an article that said Costco was planning to open a store in Knoxville about a year ago! What happened with that? Come on Costco...the sooner the better and far West Knoxville better than anywhere else! Loudon county residents welcome you! :) |
| 46 - Eddie Verdon 2010-02-07 13:19:11 | Costco’s - Signature Brand! Costco Corporate Contributors, played their important part on their end, with this Teamster and Anheuser-Busch conspiracy. While Costco had some pressure from the Teamsters and Anheuser-Busch to let Eddie go on the job. They were pushed to fight Eddie’s unemployment, also? Even with a new born baby, who attended this hearing. Eddie‘s, wife also attended the hearing. Eddie, appealed the CUIAB and won momentarily, then Costco, re-appealed the decision to make sure a defeat was final. Eddie said, I suffered along with my new family. Originally, what happened was a fellow worker and friend of Tom Silva’s, the Costco Warehouse manager. (His inside man,) was Manzey, he ran into Eddie, at the front door and knocked Eddie back several feet. The people at the registers just watched, like non-opinioned dummies! While Eddie, complained to his supervisor. The supervisor said just forget it! Eddie said, Manzey, just walked straight into me, like and on coming car? Eddie found out through resources, that Manzey and the new supervisor where buddies. Before that a customer did the same thing to Eddie, except with a full big basket of goods and ran Eddie down, to the ground. Eddie, had to go the doctor for back injury! Eddie was put on workman-compensation for the remainder of his career, their at Costco with a-- permanent rating from the state. Eddie, at that point thought he was playing; The Costco, Bumping Game, with them. Eddie, bumped into his new supervisor, not hurting him or anything like that. The supervisor went to Tom Silva, the manager and gave statement. Tom sent Eddie home three days suspension. While Eddie, was at home he fell down some steps in the garage. Eddie had to apply for disability and came back to Costco with a note that Eddie was going on disability. Tom Silva, three days later said to Eddie, he could resign? Eddie said no! he wont resign! Eddie said, it would be illegal to fire me while on disability? So-- Tom Silva said Ok! Eddie, your fired! The state found out about Eddie’s firing and sent him a flyer that disability watchers. They said, they are going to be on the look out for Eddie, with telephoto-lenses. In case Eddie, was faking an injury--so-- they thought. Eddie, felt Costco had help from California State Government Group, Friends, of theirs and Eddie was about to suffer from a mild conspiracy between them, which was about to become an even larger conspiracy -- Called; The Ferret Theory! In the end, Costco fought Eddie’s unemployment for bumping into his supervisor, and tried to stop Eddie’s disability claim as well. During (1998), with the battle that Costco, Teamsters, Anheuser-Busch, The California State System, had brought to Eddie’s family. Eddie, believes these groups are responsibly for the abnormality, that his child has. The wife was conceiving a baby, with an unusual amount of stress by these groups. And it is imperative, that these groups and all their supports, perish! If we don’t get better Corporations and State Systems, than these groups mentioned? Then, I expect America, to have a (great- depression) coming, count on it! Eddie, would sincerely, mean that! Anyways outside of this draining article-- Sincerely, Eddie |
| 47 - Annette Baert 2010-02-04 13:57:29 | We are moving from Canada to Knoxville, TN in July and we want a COSTCO!!!!!! Totally addicted!! Can't believe there isn't one already! |
| 48 - Mike Hermann 2010-01-29 09:45:32 | PLEASE COME TO KNOXVILLE AND GIVE US SOME SAMS CLUB COMPETITION!!! |
| 49 - J C 2010-01-16 23:44:38 | Looks like Chattanooga is getting one. However, it will be on 1st exit in Georgia on I75 to avoid Tennessee alcohol laws. Maybe Knoxville will get one someday. |
| 50 - David 2009-11-06 08:54:26 | I'd like to see Costco come to knoxville. But the store I really want is Meijer. It's like Super Wal-Mart on steroids. Better selection of all items throughout the store, fresher food, better prices and great weekly sales. |
| 51 - karl d raup 2009-09-11 18:36:31 | please put the Costco in Knoxville as it to far to go Nashville. |
| 52 - Sibylle Keller 2009-09-08 08:49:12 | After having lived in CA with two costcos right by us, we want costco here, as well. |
| 53 - Brad 2009-09-03 09:03:53 | We have heard the rumors for over two years now. If Spartanburg, SC can sustain a Costco I have no doubt in my mind that Knoxville can too. |
| 54 - JLT 2009-08-28 15:03:30 | We are sick and tired of driving to Nashville.....WE need you guys in Knoxville.......You are missing a great opportunity...Knoxville is a retail hub....You will do better here (T CREEK) than in Nashville..........!!!!!! |
| 55 - Mario De Lucia 2009-08-20 07:00:24 | I've been a member since Price Club came to Long Island in 1987 and continued through our move to East Tennessee in 2005. I let the membership lapse, but rejoined this past summer when we traveled to Virginia for a couple of weeks (the temptation being so close to a store was too great to pass up!) I've read most of these comments and while I might have my opinion on where a Costco might best suit me, I'll travel to Turkey Creek, Pigeon Forge, Farragut, Down-Town Knoxville...anywhere you put one within driving /shopping distance! Just please put one in East Tennessee! |
| 56 - Tracy 2009-08-12 08:32:45 | I'm relocating to Knoxville in a few weeks and have access to the Costco in Frederick, MD. I would LOVE to see Costco come to the Knoxville area so I can continue to shop there! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!!! |
| 57 - frank rimshaw 2009-07-28 05:37:30 | We have not heard much Costco, but wouls love to see Costco come to Knoxville. Costco is a great company. I was very impressed with the favorable comparison made between Costco and Wal-mart a few years ago in that USA Today article. |
| 58 - P. Tillis 2009-05-29 11:36:48 | I was at Costco in Nashville last week and they indicated Costco wants to come to Knox and had put a bid on a piece of land and as soon as they found out it was Costco they raised the price. It was probably Wal-Mart that tipped them off. I hope they look for another piece of land soon. I hate Sam's Club |
| 59 - Emily Moorehead 2009-05-26 00:14:54 | I fervently hope that Costco will open a store in Knoxville, preferably near Turkey Creek or Cedar Bluff. I've never visited a Costco, but many of my friends tell me that it's a million times better that Sam's Club, where I have visited. (NOTE: I'm not a member of Sam's Club but would happily be a member of Costco.) Many Sam's Club items are actually more expensive that their Wal-Mart counterparts! Please bring Costco to Knoxville! So many of us eagerly want to give our money and our consumer loyalty to Costco as opposed to being forced to give the Waltons. Give us a choice and Costco will see increased profits. |
| 60 - kc 2009-05-25 12:44:52 | Was as the W. Nashville Costco over the weekend and the cashiers indicated Knoxville was in the works. They seemed to know quite a bit about the dealings to open a store near Turkey Creek and indicated it was about a year down the road. Hope this comes true!!!! |
| 61 - kc 2009-05-25 12:23:40 | Was as the W. Nashville Costco over the weekend and the cashiers indicated Knoxville was in the works. They seemed to know quite a bit about the dealings to open a store near Turkey Creek and indicated it was about a year down the road. Hope this comes true!!!! |
| 62 - Kristin Schultz 2009-04-23 15:01:11 | I moved here a year ago from South FL and was disappointed the nearest Costco is in South Carolina or Brentwood, TN. I still keep my membership current in the hopes that soon we will have a Costco here in East TN. Please, come soon. I miss Costco! |
| 63 - Betty List 2009-04-14 12:19:08 | I"ve been shopping at Costco for 5 years.Please bring it to Knoxville. |

| 65 - Elizabeth Hamby 2009-03-25 16:36:39 | |
| 66 - Alan M. 2009-02-07 09:21:24 | I have heard from a reliable source that Costco has purchased a plot of land on Kingston Pike between Cedar Bluff and Walker Springs Road. It did belong to a local car dealer and it is slated to be the parking lot for a Costco. |
| 67 - Carol Perry 2009-02-04 09:18:09 | We are currently Costco members and only can shop when we visit our children in IL and IN. Would love to see a Costco in Knoxville soon!! |

| 69 - Ginger Roberts 2008-12-26 23:19:53 | I liked the Costco in Huntsville, Al where my cousin lives. It's much better than Sam's. I hope it is built near Turkey Creek. |
| 70 - Diana Lynn LaRue/Carter Mountain Consulting Agency, Inc. 2008-12-23 16:13:39 | Member #111768501485 - Gold Star Member. Please open a store in Knoxville. Nashville it too far to travel with any frequency. Costco is a great place, but the savings aren't that great!! J.R. La Rue Carter Mountain Consulting Agency, Inc. LaFollette, TN |
| 71 - Danielle Duran 2008-12-19 12:12:59 | Coming from CA, I grew up going to Price Club before it was Costco. I miss Costco's bakery, meat, and the bargain high quality furniture!!! Please come to beautiful East TN! |
| 72 - Kevin Gormley 2008-12-09 10:13:01 | When we lived in Lakeland TN we went to the Costco on Germantown Pkwy in Cordova. We have missed it every sense we moved to East TN. My family brings the ravioli's to our house because we can not get them at any other stores. We liked the selection of quality stuff. Most folks think Costco is a sam's club- We know quality is the major difference. |
| 73 - Barbara Hershey Handler 2008-12-02 14:58:54 | Overheard at Sam's today (12/2/08), I just wish this were a Costco...it is so much better... Meanwhile, the same thought was going through my head...how close are we???? |
| 74 - Chad 2008-11-21 10:34:31 | There are excellent location in Hardin Valley area of West Knoxville for a Costco. This is an area of commercial and middle class residential near a major interchange (I-40/I-140) which would draw from Alcoa/Maryville, Oak Ridge, Farragut and all of West Knoxville. This store would be jam packed with customers. Customers in this area know great quality products for a fair price and are very loyal to the businesses that provide them. |
| 75 - Highlanderfrazer 2008-11-20 09:03:01 | Costco is a lot better than SAMS, we shopped all the time in Northern CA. |
| 76 - Gabriel E. 2008-11-18 11:18:00 | I want costco so we could have choices. Knoxville is growing and the population is more than 400,000 at least. Please have Costco. |
| 77 - Ralph JOnes 2008-11-14 21:02:33 | I work for Costco and want to move to knoxville to open the store and live in your great town! |
| 78 - EUGENE CHANDLER 2008-11-12 13:22:18 | THE BOMB! |
| 79 - Kristen 2008-11-11 07:09:44 | I don't care where you put it, just put it somewhere in Knoxville! I will just be happy to have one within a 20 minute drive! I am originally from California and I really miss Costco! |
| 80 - DAVE FALL 2008-11-10 19:06:10 | PLEASE BUILD A COSTCO IN KNOXVILLE ASAP SO I CAN CLOSE MY SAMS MEMBERSHIP THANKS DAVE |
| 81 - Chris Hutch 2008-11-03 11:58:30 | PLEASE build a Costco in Knoxville or Maryville area. Costco is the absolute best store. No other store comes even close. |
| 82 - Michael Thrasher 2008-10-17 17:20:09 | Please open a Costco in Knoxville, Tennesse as soon as possible. Thanks |
| 83 - Joanne Perkins 2008-10-17 13:29:16 | Please construct a Costco in Knoxville--preferably in the Turkey Creek area. Thank you. |
| 84 - mbell 2008-10-12 07:12:31 | I have lived in Knoxville for many years, so have not had the opportunity to have Costco near me. However, I have visited Costco in other states and I am always impressed with their product lines and pricing. Knoxville market has grown tremendously and Sam's/WalMart have enjoyed near monopoly here. I would gladly drop my Sam's membership and make Costco my super store! Please come to Knoxville! |
| 85 - walker 2008-10-07 14:55:13 | My ancestors moved to the greater Knoxville area in the 1780s (it was Western North Carolina in those days). I'm not going to say that I am from CA, FL, MI, or that I live in Tellico or Fairfield Glade. The issue is our joint attempt to obtain a Costco for the greater Knoxville area. As a lifelong local businessman, I know Costco has a detailed business plan. They have goals that must be met. Costco is a Washington State based company. Walmart/Sams is a Arkansas company. Each started in business in its own territory, and then expanded. Regardless of the actual location when we finally obtain a Costco, we will all benefit. Let it be a location at I-275/I-640/I-75 near Sharps Ridge, or near the intersection of I-140 and I-40/I-75. Please just remain behind the effort to obtain a Costco. It cannot be located in everyone's backyard. It will require that Knox, Sevier, Blount, Jefferson, Anderson, Loudon, and Roane counties (and several others). All of us need to support the objective of obtaining a local Costco. Keep up the good work. We shall prevail. |
| 86 - Peter Carlsson 2008-10-06 16:50:19 | Costco is one of the few things I miss about living in California (there aren't many). Sam's Club just doesn't do it for me - a Costco would be a major asset to the west Knoxville area. Please come to town!!! |
| 87 - Peter Carlsson 2008-10-06 16:47:20 | Costco is one of the few things I miss about living in California (there aren't many). Sam's Club just doesn't do it for me - a Costco would be a major asset to the west Knoxville area. Please come to town!!! |
| 88 - rose 2008-10-04 04:57:29 | Since I left Calif. I have missed shopping at Costco. My husband and I belong to Sams as well. By far Costco has beat Sams by a long shot. Who has ever heard that Steaks are a seasonal product. Sams Club thinks that way. Having a Costco would be a welcome change. Please come!!!! |
| 89 - Mary Martelloni 2008-09-30 09:00:33 | I can not believe how much I truly miss Costco, moved out of NJ close to 2 year now, and had been a costco memeber since 1990. I fell like I lost a best friend, there meats where always a good price no need to wait for a sale. With the economy in the chrapper we need more ways to stretch the dollar and COSTCO gives us them. Other thing that was great they would put a % of your purchases either in a check or paynext years memebership..Sams is ok, but doesnt offer much in that line and lately the shelfs are always empty, the meats are looking shinny and green,,,I want a good CORN MUFFIN from COSTCO. I shop in them when back in NJ or in FL on business... But no to Turkey Creek its way to crowded already, maybe off the intersate by HT Hackey or something closeCOSTCO PLEASE come and bring jobs to the area !!! |
| 90 - d hoff 2008-09-29 06:53:31 | yes i want costco in west knoxville |
| 91 - Norma G. Barnett 2008-09-27 08:58:40 | Due to the fact that Knoxville is so spread out, especially to the west My neighbors and I would like to see Cosco NORTH of Knoxville!!! Your stores are so much better than the WalMart stores here that we would e glad to pay the membership fees and save gas over the trip top Knoxville!!! NGB |
| 92 - Jane Barnes 2008-09-26 04:09:24 | This area of Knoxville is growing rapidly. Our nearest large warehouse store is Sam's which is 4-5 exits away from us out west. We need a warehouse store in west Knoxville. Please come! |
| 93 - Philip Wood 2008-09-25 19:42:50 | I think Knoxville would really benefit from having a Costco here. Wal-mart and Sam's has the market here, now granted I shop at both but come on we need a variety. I think the location should be somewhere between West and East Knoxville. I live in East Knoxville, and I get tired of all the good stuff going to West Knoxville b/c that is where the "money" is. It is truly unfair that people from E. Knox. has to travel and waste their gas to go to W. Knox. It needs to be somewhere in between, like even Papermill or somewhere like that. Not deep west. |
| 94 - Selina 2008-09-23 08:19:08 | We had both Costco and Sam's in Birmingham and were members of both. A lot of the grocery items are very similar, but Costco's gift items are much better than the ones you find at Sam's. I really miss Costco, and if if I had to choose one or the other that's the one I'd choose! |
| 95 - Ric 2008-09-22 10:05:14 | It is great to see so much support towards a company in which I have dedicated my career too. I currently work in the Nashville location and I come across many who travel from Knoxville just to shop with us. Many have told me it is a once a monh trip for them, and we appreciate thier dedication! Keep up the great work and THANKS!! |
| 96 - Rosie Ratcliffe 2008-09-17 20:45:45 | Since I left N.J. I've been missing Costco. Turkey Creek would be perfect. Alot of us from Tellico Village would definitely shop there. Believe me, there's plenty of interest. |
| 97 - Lloyd Mineer 2008-09-16 20:01:26 | I have experienced buying from Costco in Canada, Washington and California always feeling totally confident in their quality, value and above all great service and unmatched customer service and return policy for any slight problem. They are a joy to have their quality, pricing and service. I look forward to their arriving in Knoxville. |
| 98 - lloydmineer 2008-09-16 19:37:52 | Costcos is THE best. Knoxville would only benefit from a Costcos. |
| 99 - Judy Davis 2008-09-16 13:07:09 | Yes, we want a Costco in Knoxville. |
| 100 - BKH 2008-09-16 12:41:26 | Hi I work at Costco and would love to see a location open in Knoxville. I am from Knoxville and I think it would be a great addition to a beautifully growing city! |
| 101 - Judith Davis 2008-09-16 08:33:11 | Yes, please bring Costco to Knoxville. |
| 102 - Kate 2008-09-16 06:55:54 | Please bring Costco to Knoxville. I always go to the store when I visit my family in Virginia and would probably be in there so much people would think I lived there |
| 103 - jeff lambright 2008-09-15 09:55:47 | Costco is one of the things we miss most from Ca. We were shocked not to find one here when we relocated 3 years ago. The "other" store just doesn't hold a candle to Costco. |
| 104 - Anna 2008-09-15 08:59:46 | Please, please bring a Costco to Knoxville. I recently move to the area from Florida where I was a member for 10 years. Please don't make me move but I can't live without my Costco. I miss everything...the cakes from the bakery, the $1.50 hotdog and drink, the employees. When I asked my son where he would like to go eat, he would pick Costco for a hotdog. I miss the super bargins. No giant pots of mums for me this year. Please bring Costco to Knoxville. Turkey Creek would be a perfect area. But I'd be happy just not having to drive hours to a Costco. |
| 105 - Craig Robb 2008-09-14 18:02:24 | We live in Fairfield Glade,TN and retired here from Atlanta,GA. We still go back there to use Costco. Turkey Creek shopping area is 45 min. west on I-40 for us. We have called & tried to do everything to get a Costco in that area. Instead they build another one on the west side of Nashville. We are a community of 7500 retired folks who drive to Cookville where there is a Sams. Many of our friends would rather go to Costco ! How about it ???? |
| 106 - Peter 2008-09-14 17:31:29 | When I arrived in Knoxville, I could not believe that I could not find Costco here. When is Costco coming? How can Costco not be here? Nothing compares to Costco. Come on, please don't take too long...I want you here and now~!!! |
| 107 - carolyn journey 2008-09-14 07:56:36 | Had Costco for over 20 years in San Diego. Miss the store, Sams is not the same. Live in Tellico Village and everyone is from some place else and we all miss Costco. Lenior City is growing and would be a perfect location. |
| 108 - Sharon 2008-09-13 13:32:53 | Blount County would be a great location - Rumor had it that Sams was checking Blount out - Maybe you can "beat them to it" |
| 109 - Connie Duncan 2008-09-12 17:41:43 | I was a member in Phoenix, AZ for several years. I would love to have a store in Knoxville, TN |
| 110 - Anne Hammer 2008-09-12 12:29:17 | We need this near Knoxville Center. I'm so sick of Walmart/Sams. Please come to Knoxville soon. Thank You!!! |
| 111 - Christie 2008-09-12 11:49:47 | I got an email showing how Costco has an open pharmacy (no membership required) and they are the only people that do not jack up the pill rates by over 100-1000%....They sell medicine at just barely over cost (everbody has to make a profit) |
| 112 - Genevieve Beavers 2008-09-12 10:53:34 | I tried unsuccessfully to sign... I bet a lot of people had my problem. |
| 113 - Charlie Ireland 2008-09-12 10:13:58 | Moved to Knoxvile in '05 from Los Angeles. I joined there and have retained my membership to this date. I have a Costco AMEX Card Account and use it online. The selection in the stores is very diverse with better selections than Sam's. I would support a Costco here, no question. |
| 114 - polly walsh 2008-09-12 08:41:55 | I have been a costco mom since the mid 80's and am going through withdrawal. NO COSTCO close. We live in Crossville and we want costco NOW. |
| 115 - Michael Garaza 2008-09-12 08:31:18 | Costco would be great for north Knox county. There is no Sams Club in the area. |
| 116 - Al Gunnarson 2008-09-12 08:23:01 | Lenoir City has available commercial development space of the size a Costco would need, that would be visible from I-75 with easy access from the interstate and 15 minutes away from all those in the West Knoxville corridor. |
| 117 - Betsy Nolan 2008-09-12 07:29:02 | Here in Connecticut, we love! Costco and it has not taken away from our mom & pops just up the road or even the other chains like Stop & Shop. Here, luckily there seems to be enough business for everyone. Best of luck........ |
| 118 - Eddie Stair 2008-09-12 07:12:40 | I agree with one person's comment. There's a beautiful and build ready site behind the new Fox Toyota at Exit 122 on I-75 North at the Clinton/Norris exit. We'd love to have you here and have all our friends from East Tennessee come and shop. Just across the interstate from the new Clinton Super WalMart too!. Looking forward to seeing you Costco! We need you badly in these times. |
| 119 - Louise DeLucia 2008-09-12 06:45:25 | My husband and I are from Long Island, NY, where we were Price Club/Price Costco/Costco members since they came there in 1987. When we moved here we called Costco and asked them to come here, we also have taken day trips to Nashville just to go shopping at Costco. We also have been shopping on-line thru them since the price of gas has gone up. Please Costco come here. |
| 120 - Joe M 2008-09-12 05:33:55 | NOT TURKEY CREEK please! West, East, North are all fine. Near either existing Sams Club would work for me. |
| 121 - Angela Bourne 2008-09-12 05:28:54 | There are more areas in Knoxville than West Knoxville and Farragut that would love to have a Costco. |
| 122 - M Bott 2008-09-11 20:28:19 | Please, please, please come! But please, please, please not to Farragut - it's already too congested & hard to get around. Turkey Creek is nice, but the traffic is awful & I'll still go to Sam's Club if it goes there. We need a costco in near Knox/Blount counties. West or South is definately a desirable locale. |
| 123 - Betty 2008-09-11 20:27:55 | let me just say this. i was watching the wate news and they said its mainly farraget and west knox responding I DONT LIVE IN THOSE AREAS LOL IM NOT RICH LOL I AM IN ANDERSON COUNTY AND I WANT COSTCO IN EAST TN DANG IT SO GET UR BUTTS IN GEAR AND GET ONE HERE I KNOW A FEW GOOD PLACES TO PUT ONE HOW ABOUT KARNS THEY ARE BOOMING NOW LOL |
| 124 - Robert Smith 2008-09-11 20:27:38 | I recently moved to East Tennessee from Norther Virginia where I belonged to Costco. One of the greatest stores I've ever used. Bring one to Knoxville !!! |
| 125 - Rex Ingle 2008-09-11 20:27:28 | Knoxville,Tenn.needs Cosco in the worst way. |
| 126 - Lisa White 2008-09-11 20:23:34 | A north east Knoxville location would work well for the surrounding areas...maybe in or near the Knoxville Center Mall? Costco is wonderful...I'd prefer it over Sam's! I was a loyal shopper in Virginia. |
| 127 - carla pohlman 2008-09-11 20:23:32 | i am from ohio, and we have had a costco since 1999. costco is the best store i have shopped. prices and product are remarkable... i hope one gets here soon. it would be worth the 45 minute drive to knoxville. |
| 128 - Ross Beavers 2008-09-11 20:06:45 | I am having trouble with the link that I am supposed to click on e-mail. |
| 129 - Genevieve Beavers 2008-09-11 19:52:05 | How long does it take for your name to appear on petition? |
| 130 - Jim Waller 2008-09-11 19:29:56 | A lot to be said for quality...Not just vendor discontinued products.....Costco has a better quality to choose from... |
| 131 - linda clinger 2008-09-11 19:29:14 | We started with Costco in Cincinnati Ohio after good friends took us there. Then we moved to Atlanta continued to frequent. We have tried Sams clubs in the past but they just do not seem to have the quality that Costco and their Kirkland brand offers. PLEASE come to Knoxville....no matter where you locate, we will get there! |
| 132 - deborah hampshire 2008-09-10 01:35:50 | We have been telling COSTO in MEMPHIS that we need them to move and open a store in MARYVILLE/Seiverville/Knoxville for 7 years....Come on please and give SAMS a run for their money.... |
| 133 - Kenneth Loveland 2008-09-05 14:50:17 | I have been a member of Costco for years in Miami and have moved to NE Tennessee and miss the store greatly. Sams Club and all the others do not compare to the quality of the meats and selection of foods and furniture. I wish you well in your efforts because we need this store. |
| 134 - Christine Fuller-Martin 2008-09-03 06:15:40 | We would love to have a Costco in Maryville, TN too. There is a great market for it in this area. |
| 135 - marcee merritt 2008-09-02 08:51:53 | Knoxville- Farragut area is sooo in need of a Costco! If Costco will check out the demographic of this area and folks they would find economically and in other details, that folks here could probably support 2 stores in greater Knoxville area! Coming from Nashville and shopping at Costco stores in CA... I have missed this more than anything else since moving to Knoxville... (I used to plan my menus around Costco) please come soon.... |
| 136 - a. price 2008-08-30 17:08:44 | I look forward to Costco coming to Knoxville. I think they will blow Sam's Club out of the water! It's about time they came here! |
| 137 - Kenneth Earl 2008-08-30 12:15:05 | My wife and I moved to Athens TN from Brighton MI in December 2006. We had a Costco in Brighton and we love it. Nearest one to us now is northwest of Atlanta which is a long ways away. Would love one in Knoxville. I would say it should be south along I75/I40. We are dissapointed that a rumer we heard last spring that Costco was coming to Knoxville in the fall of 2008 was false. I know of others in Athens who would be thrilled if Costco came to Knoxville. |
| 138 - Dawn 2008-08-29 10:57:03 | I love Costco. It was my favorite store in South Florida. Personally and professionally I would prefer to do business at Costco instead of feeding the Wal-Mart beast. The company I work for is of the same mind, but must purchase from Sams on occassion. Our employees will gladly hand over our Sams business membership if Costco comes to Knoxville. Can't wait to be the first one through the doors! |
| 139 - MJ 2008-08-27 19:01:28 | Recently moved here from SoCal and am having Costco withdrawl....tried Sma's club - it SUX! It would make our move PERFECT if there was a Costco nearby. |
| 140 - Antoinette Lewis 2008-08-22 19:43:22 | I do miss Costco so much. I used to shop there all the time when I lived in California. I CAN'T WAIT!!!! |
| 141 - Bob 2008-08-21 05:58:13 | I go to Atlanta about once per month for business. I always take a cooler and stock up at Costco. I have told several friends about this and now usually drive back in a car that is full of great products at great prices. Of course I would like to see the a Costco in the North Knoxville - Fountain City area, but I would drive past a Sam's Club to go to a Costco |
| 142 - sondrafranks 2008-08-16 20:38:10 | |
| 143 - Kerry Bailey 2008-08-16 12:51:23 | Please bring Costco to Knoxville, we love shopping at Costco. |
| 144 - H. Gaut 2008-08-16 12:51:07 | Thanks |
| 145 - Bud Gaut 2008-08-16 12:46:07 | Please bring Costco here! |
| 146 - Mary 2008-08-16 09:55:17 | OH YEAH!!! We are ready for a Costco here in E. TN. I think there is plenty of room for one at the 407 exit on Hwy 40 were the new Dumplin Creek Center is being built! BUT..I will shop anywhere you put it in E. TN. |
| 147 - Michael T Messer 2008-08-12 06:32:43 | Costco, would be a great additional to the Knoxville Area, Plus if you located the Stone North of Knoxville, this would give you additional business, a booming are is the Clinton Exit. that will be our next population explosing. thanks Good Luck. |
| 148 - James Pedersen 2008-08-11 15:17:03 | We would love to have a Costco. |
| 149 - Danielle Sandor 2008-08-11 14:31:43 | I recently moved from California to Knoxville. I love it here, but I do miss Costco. Please, please build a Costco in Turkey Creek. My family would shop there all the time. |
| 150 - Flogene Messer 2008-08-11 11:06:27 | I would like to see a Costco in North Knoxville on the Emery Road Exit on I-75. We live on Norris Lake near Jacksboro, Tennessee. The Clinton-Norris exit would be even better but have long wished for a Costco in our Area. |
| 151 - Melanie H 2008-08-06 15:09:39 | My family would love a Costco in Knoxville! Everytime I visit my sister in Texas we make a trip to Costco. The products are of great quality and we need you in Knoxville. Sam's doesn't compare. |
| 152 - Pia Tillis 2008-08-04 15:57:19 | We need a Costco. As a member for years in Las Vegas, we need one in Knoxville. Knoxville is the only major city in Tennessee without a Costco. Sam's Club does not have the quality merchandise that Costco carries. |
| 153 - Laura W 2008-08-04 09:11:55 | We were faithful Costco shoppers in ATL, and would LOVE to have one close to us in Maryville or Knoxville. |
| 154 - Dick Stoneburner 2008-08-03 08:40:15 | Tommy, Good luck with your efffort and it was fun being with you all in Tennessee. Dick Stoneburner |
| 155 - Marianne Heinen 2008-08-01 08:19:09 | I own a business and would love to have Costco out here in the 37934 zip code away from Sam's. Your company is so much better. Please consider and build here or in Lenoir City, TN |
| 156 - Judy Dodd 2008-07-31 17:20:23 | We need Costco in Knoxville!!! |
| 157 - Deborah Williamsen 2008-07-31 15:47:36 | I used to shop at Costco in New Jersey for years and they have a much better selection than Sam's Club! I want a Costco in Knoxville! |
| 158 - Ann Siewert 2008-07-28 06:15:46 | I love Costco! When I visit our family in Atlanta, they always take me there. I wrote Costco 2 or 3 years ago and begged them to open a store in Knoxville. The quality and variety of their products is fantastic! |
| 159 - Connie 2008-07-28 06:08:15 | Hey there is a new store that is 177 miles from Knoxville, I believe it is the closest? It is in Spartianburg, SC |
| 160 - Ann Siewert 2008-07-28 06:04:40 | I love Costco! When I visit our family in Atlanta, they always take me there. I wrote Costco 2 or 3 years ago and begged them to open a store in Knoxville. The quality and variety of their products is fantastic! |
| 161 - Scott & Debbie Vance 2008-07-27 17:16:29 | We have been Costco members for years. When we moved here a year and a half ago, we were devastated that there was no Costco - made us think twice about taking the job! We have maintained our membership, and now must either shop online or travel to Hunstville. PLEASE bring a store to Knoxville! |
| 162 - Cary Cooper 2008-07-27 09:39:39 | I have been a member of Costco Marietta, Ga. for (5) years, I can not go there now. I love Costo an previously E-mailed a request loaded with good reasons to bring Costco to Knoxville, you have (2) within (30) miles of each other Spartanburg/Greenville,SC. You must see the Welcome Sign Here. |
| 163 - JODI 2008-07-26 17:42:43 | WE NEED A COSTCO. I'M TIRED OF HAVING TO GO VISIT FRIENDS IN MEMPHIS TO SHOP AT COSTCO. |
| 164 - ginny mclaughlin 2008-07-26 15:03:38 | Please build a Costco here in Knoxville. My family in Colrado love theirs and tell me nothing but good things about them. |
| 165 - timothy mclaughlin 2008-07-26 14:51:19 | Would love to have a costco in knoxville to give us another choice over sams.Plus I here they are a great company to work for!!! |
| 166 - J. Madeline Matthews 2008-07-26 12:14:23 | I joined Costco around 1986 in Orange County, CA. I moved to Reno, NV & was happy to find one there too. I have been very disappointed with Sam's. Costco's pricing, quality & selection will leave Sam's in the dust. Please bring Costco to West Knoxville. |
| 167 - Jennifer Radtke 2008-07-26 12:12:29 | We moved to Knoxville 2 years ago & we keep hearing rumors that costco is coming. We have kept our membership since we moved here; when we go on road trips or visit friend in Atlanta or Nashville we always stop at Costco to pick up a few things that we haven't been able to find in Knoxville. Costco come to knoxville, Sam's needs some competition & Knoxvillians need some choices! |
| 168 - Andy Newman 2008-07-26 07:16:22 | Cosco needs to be here, now in west Knoxville. If it isn't being built already. |
| 169 - Shirley Ketcham 2008-07-24 15:07:46 | We had membership in a Costco in Florida when we lived there. We loved the place and how it was handled. Sams needs some competition and I would gladly switch to Costco. Please build on the West side of Knoxville. |
| 170 - Nick Mancini 2008-07-24 04:25:17 | I grew up with a Costco in San Diego, moved here and I am having withdrawals. It got so bad i gave in to Wally world and bought a membership. I hate it! The selection sucks compared to Costco. The only good thing is i can tell Sam's club members about this site and how much better Costco is... GIVE ME AND THE REST OF KNOXVILLE A COSTCO!!! |
| 171 - alan griswold 2008-07-23 10:29:46 | I heard that Costco was going in at the old outlet mall location on Lovell Road. |
| 172 - Jud Hightower 2008-07-22 14:14:26 | I was a member while living in Northern Virginia and Dublin, CA, and I love Costco. I am still a member and visit the Costco stores in Nashville and Atlanta every chance I get and I now stop at the new Costco on I-26 every time I go to South Carolina to visit family. We need a Costco in the Knoxville area. It's much better than Sam's! |
| 173 - susan 2008-07-22 07:15:20 | Once Knoxvillians experience Costco many more than those who already know, will join the legions that love Costco. Nashville is too far to drive for groceries. |
| 174 - N. Bennett 2008-07-21 10:48:01 | I was a member of Costco (previously called Price Club) when I lived in Md. I too had contacted them about opening a store in Knoxville. It's a great store with great products. I do miss it!! Whoever thought of the billboard on Lovell Rd.- great idea! |
| 175 - Santiago Ramirez 2008-07-21 06:57:12 | I saw the billboard on Lovell road! Way to go, Tommy! |
| 176 - Santiago Ramirez 2008-07-21 06:51:33 | More San Diegans coming to Knoxville means more folks that know about Costco's greatness! http://tinyurl.com/6rcqv4 |
| 177 - John 2008-07-19 19:38:40 | Hi, I own a website CostcoShoppers.com, a community for people who love Costco. I will promote your website. Good luck. I hope you will have Costco soon. |
| 178 - Betty Morgan 2008-07-18 13:19:14 | I have heard a lot of positive comments about Costco. I wish we had one in the Knoxville area. Please consider it! |
| 179 - Betty Morgan 2008-07-18 13:16:51 | I have heard a lot of positive comments about Costco and I wish there was one in the Knoxville area. |
| 180 - Mimi Smith 2008-07-17 17:43:29 | Please have Costco come to Knoxville |
| 181 - Barbara Whitworth 2008-07-15 18:03:02 | When people go on vacation, there is always a Costco to go to get groceries. Seveirville and Gatliburg is a Tourist Town. Costco will make more money in this area then having it at Knoxville. It will be easy for the Tourist to find the Costco then searching for it in Knoxville. |
| 182 - Megan Ladd 2008-07-15 17:04:18 | i love costco. please bring it to knoxville!!! |
| 183 - Lauretta A. Foster 2008-07-14 12:20:20 | Please build a Costco in our area. We really need Costco on our side of town. I lived in Michigan and have lived in Knoxville, TN for a year. I do not like Sam's Club and miss Costco terribly. I would love to have the chance to renew my membership I know I will be the first one at the door to renew my membership. Welcome to Knoxville, TN Costco - Lauretta Foster |
| 184 - Dwayne Seaton 2008-07-12 15:28:35 | I Would Love to see Costco come to Knoxville, I would burn my Sams Card, after all we have 2-sams clubs, that's 2-to many, besides Knoxville is a great location with 2 major interstates running through it I-40 & I-75, We sure could use the wonderful & friendly staff of a Costco store where people do care about the customers, Thanks Dwayne |
| 185 - Sharon 2008-07-12 08:18:29 | Pls. consider Knoxville or Maryville as a viable site for a COSTCO location. It is a wonderful competitor to SAMS and either location would draw a local crowd. I-40 and Pelissippi Prkwy would bring many from surrounding areas. West Knoxville needs no more traffic congestion, especially in the Turkey Creek area so please don't consider that location! |
| 186 - Ron Kaiser 2008-07-12 08:02:29 | Costco has alot more products than Sam'&the quality is outstanding. |
| 187 - Sharon Reed 2008-07-11 20:48:57 | I have shopped at Costco while visiting in PA. They are great!!!! Costco is missing a perfect opportunity in the Knoxville market.....WEST KNOXVILLE shoppers WANT COSTCO!!! |
| 188 - Vivian 2008-07-11 18:53:54 | Sorry, I think only one sign up per computer is allowed. Try another computer, but be sure to click on the confirmation you receive for your vote to count. Good luck!! |
| 189 - Duane Block 2008-07-11 16:20:38 | I was a member of Costco in Harrisonburg, VA, a few years ago and used it often. My best set of eyeglasses came from there, and the other deals were great. Hope Costco comes here, and hopes it locates on the west side of Knoxville. |
| 190 - Ken Boardman 2008-07-11 11:48:51 | Lenoir City, Maryville,Alcoa,Pellissipi Pkwy, Turkey Creek; any would be great |
| 191 - Bob Maddin 2008-07-11 09:10:42 | hello...my wife has signed up online...but since we both share the same email address i could not sign up online..where may i get a petition to sign..thanks |
| 192 - Carole Cardwell 2008-07-11 08:14:33 | http://www.costco.com/Service/FeaturePage.aspx?ProductNo=11203456 HERE IS THE LINK TO COSTCO'S WEB PAGE THAT LIST WHEN AND WHERE THE NEW STORES ARE GOING IN AT!!! I CHECK IT DAILY!!!! |
| 193 - Mike Whedbee 2008-07-11 04:53:46 | We travel to Atlanta several times each year just to shop Costco. How about one at exit 407 in Sevierville - the new Dumplin Valley complex. An area like ours where the #1 industry is tourism with around 10 million visitors a year? |
| 194 - linda gaddis 2008-07-10 19:19:17 | My husband and I recently moved to Kingston from Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. We MISS OUR COSTCO!!!! They have the BEST ribeye steaks than any butcher shop and at a price that can't be beat!!! How about near Turkey Creek or Lenoir City? |
| 195 - Akiko Kiyohara 2008-07-10 15:24:59 | I moved to Knoxville from Osaka, Japan .. where a Costco was located near my apartment and I was a regular customer. I wish Knoxville also had a Costco !!! |
| 196 - Thomas Thompson 2008-07-10 15:07:07 | I subscribe to Consumer Reports Magazine. Costco is always ranked at the top as a "Best Buy" for varius goods and services ... and for their "Store Brands". Knoxville needs to have access to these "value" merchandise. |
| 197 - Connie 2008-07-10 14:05:32 | YES!! I vote for East Knoxville by Strawberry Plains. Think of the good paying jobs! If you have not been in one, you don't know what your missing. PLEASE COSTCO |
| 198 - Leslie 2008-07-10 08:44:49 | I WANT/NEED a COSTCO. I live in OH and we were members since it opened there. I LOVE IT! That is the only place we shopped, Costco and Trader Joes. I am for a trader joes too!! I really really would love a costco and I KNOW it would do ver very well here! Please bring one! |
| 199 - Sheila Wilshire 2008-07-10 04:21:22 | We were Costco members for one year because we were going to Hawaii and heard that gas prices were cheapest there. We loved them! For the rest of the year, we shopped at several Costcos when we were on other vacations or I traveled for business. We were just in Canada and saw them there. Wish I had joined for another year before our trip. |
| 200 - Orville & Rissa Hale 2008-07-09 20:14:31 | We already have a Sam's Club here but we'd like to have a store that ensues their employees are taken care of & provided a great working environment. Please come to Knoxville so we can support you while you help us. We look forward to seeing you soon in Knoxville. |
| 201 - chuck 2008-07-09 18:48:21 | Build it and they will come!!! (I agree that Lenoir City would be a great site where the new development is off of Hwy 321) |
| 202 - Marlon K. Tarter 2008-07-09 16:58:11 | I am a member and loved COSTCO while in Orlando and now visit one in Atlanta. Emory Road and I-75 would be perfect - in between East Sam's and West Sam's. |
| 203 - Tracey Macdonald 2008-07-09 16:42:24 | I don't care where in Knoxville you put Costco. I would be willing to drive a little to go to one. Pellissippi Parkway may be a good spot. There seems to be very little traffic on it. I miss having one around me. I love the bakery and the meat and seafood deparments. |
| 204 - Bobbi Wolverton and Larry Chapman 2008-07-09 16:35:43 | I tried to sign the petition, but it said I had already signed it. My name is not on the list. I also wanted to add by partner at the same email address and it would not accept it. |
| 205 - David Shealey 2008-07-09 16:03:19 | We have been members of Costco since it's inception, Price Club previously, in San Diego where we had multiple locations to choose from. The nearest one to us here is in Spartanburg, SC. We SERIOUSLY want one in the Knoxville area! We have been members of both Costco and Sam's Club for years, both good, but if ever had to choose between the two, Costco would get the nod. |
| 206 - Rebecca B Bell 2008-07-09 15:29:47 | I just hope you have better customer service then Sam's and Walmart. And I hope to see it be near South Knoxville. |
| 207 - Greg McKendry 2008-07-09 14:54:58 | I'm a member now --Why? The perscription drugs are cheaper than I can get them -- Cheaper than Walmart or Sam's Costco is a much better place to work than Sam's according to all employee surveys AND I like their better brands of products. |
| 208 - Regina Daniel 2008-07-09 14:01:13 | We need Costco in Knoxville!! How about in Lenoir City near I75 or I40 or even Dr. Bob's property which is being developer on Rt 321. People will travel to get to Costco! My folks live in Norristown, Pa. and use Costco all the time. They use King of Prussia and Montgomeryville. People here would surely travel a way to get to Costco too.. |
| 209 - Margaret L. Sonntag 2008-07-09 13:46:58 | My husband signed petition. Then I tried, but since we have the same e-mail address, it would not accept me! I want Costco too!!! |
| 210 - Wanda Hester 2008-07-09 13:35:06 | I have shopped Costco every chance I get - especially when I go to Charleston. Love that store. It is clean, bright, and has it all. If you go to shop hungry, you won't be when you leave as you can usually sample everything. When Turkey Creek was being developed I wrote to Costco and asked that Knoxville be considered as a site. They wrote back to me and said they had no plans for the area at that time. Maybe now they could come to Maryville, or halfway in between Knox and Mville! It would certainly have enough trade here to support it by choosing this area!!! Incidentally, they also sell discounted gasoline. |
| 211 - Bob Cantrell 2008-07-09 12:40:45 | Every time I go to the Cobb County area in GA. I always shop Costco. My daughter lives in the area and is always buying items there for me and mailing the items to me. A Costco would be well appreciated and used in this area. The company should take a look at the new Mega shopping area under construction named Dumplin Creek at intersection of I40 and Hwy. 66 ( exit 407 ) east of Knoxville. This is a hugh tourist area and a rapidly growing area. When Dumplin Creek is finished there will be a hugh boon to residental and business growth. |
| 212 - Terri Gaines 2008-07-09 12:29:59 | I think the Bearden area would be best for a Costco, because it is central to the Knoxville area so it would draw from a larger area. Thanks |
| 213 - Bo Diddely 2008-07-09 12:11:55 | cindy ellison is cruel to animals, i do not want her company here. sheis cruel to animals |
| 214 - Robert Armstorng 2008-07-09 11:58:34 | We call Costco the 100$ club! Try and get otta there spending less than a hundred bucks and you weren't looking around much. Moved here from Southern California and then you realize, "Where's the Costco"? You don't know what you had till it's gone. C'mon guys, I dare you to build one here in Knoxville! Add extra registers, you will need them! |
| 215 - James Housteau 2008-07-09 11:05:07 | We need Costco to compete with Sam's and provide a larger variety of products for the consumer. |
| 216 - Mary Lauren Housteau 2008-07-09 11:02:21 | A town of Knoxville's size needs another option other than Sam's. I am tired of having to wait till I go to Atlanta to shop at Costco. It has higher end items more than Sam's. |
| 217 - Dee Williams 2008-07-09 10:34:02 | I think it would better serve the citizens of knoxville to be more centrally located. Not in Turkey Creek Area. |
| 218 - Don Byerly 2008-07-09 10:07:36 | I actually sent two emails to Costco (about 2-3 years ago) explaining that Knoxville had a market comparable to Nashville. I had a membership at the Brentwood Costco that I used when I traveled to Nashville. I once asked someone at the service desk about the Knoxville situation - they told me (this has been several years ago) that they had selected a site, the price jumped out of the company's range, so they canned the idea. I REALLY WANT A COSTCO!! |
| 219 - Jim Andrews 2008-07-09 09:25:45 | fyi -- i was unable to click on the link in the e-mail. however, i copied the link and was able to log onto the site to confirm. |
| 220 - Vivian Gillespie 2008-07-09 08:55:25 | Please, please bring a Costco to Knoxville. I visit Costco every time I go to Atlanta. It is the best!! |
| 221 - Loraine 2008-07-09 08:53:36 | I would love to have COSTCO in Knoxville. I have a Sam's Club membership and think that Sam's is a wanna-be COSTCO. HOW ABOUT GETTING A PETITION FOR TRADER JOE'S. TRADER JOE's AND COSTCO ARE MY TWO FAVORITES. |
| 222 - cindy ellison 2008-07-09 08:47:17 | costco is cruel to animals, i do not want thier company here. they are cruel to animals |
| 223 - Deb 2008-07-09 08:43:58 | I would love a Costco; especially in North Knoxville. I loved it when I lived in Atlanta. Wallyworld needs the competition!!!! Emory Rd. & I75 would be great!!! |
| 224 - Ramon L. Anderson 2008-07-09 08:09:43 | My wife and I moved to Blount county from South Florida in 2006 and the only thing we miss is the convenience, selection and prices of a COSTCO. Build it and we will come! |
| 225 - William Fritts 2008-07-09 07:52:36 | I would gladly support a Costco store in Knoxville. I have shopped at Costco while in Clearwater, FL and find it to be a great choice. Sam's Club needs some competition in Knoxville! |
| 226 - Gary & Gill Meyer 2008-07-09 07:37:39 | We recently relocated from Orlando to Walland -- LOVE the people and the area, but really miss our Costco! We've been members for many years and would most definitely support a store here... been going to Sam's recently, but that would change immediately if there was a choice. You just can't beat the quality, selection and price of a Costco store. PLEASE BRING A STORE HERE!! Gary & Gill Meyer |
| 227 - Sandra E Jessop 2008-07-09 07:27:40 | We shopped at Costco all the time when we lived on Long Island, NY. In fact we visited several different ones as they each had certain specialties depending on the area of town. Would love one in Knoxville, Lenoir City would be even better. We shop Sam's now but find Costco is better. |
| 228 - Jim 2008-07-09 07:09:31 | There was no link in the email I received after signing the petition. Subject: Knoxville Wants Costco Petition Verification From: Petition Verification X-Mailer: PHP/5.2.6Reply-To: Petition Verification Date: Wed, 9 Jul 2008 05:31:27 -0700 (PDT) |
| 229 - Judy Horne 2008-07-09 06:49:12 | The closest Costco to us is 3 hours away and we make a Costco run often. We would love to see one in Knoxville. |
| 230 - Richard Stretch 2008-07-09 06:01:10 | I would shop weekly at Costcos. |
| 231 - Portia F Stretch 2008-07-09 05:58:54 | I would love to see a Costco Store in this area. Oak Ridge would be better for us. But would go to Knoxville Area. |
| 232 - Stephanie Ryan 2008-07-09 05:51:37 | I realize we already have a warehouse store in Knoxville but it is not anywhere as good as Costco. You cannot buy the great electronics the food choices and the various appliances. Too many great items to mention.Costco is a great store and we miss not having one. |
| 233 - Mike Evans 2008-07-09 05:43:59 | I just moved from Atlanta, and I am still a Costco member. My wife and I really miss Costco and would frequent it often if it was here in Knoxville. I still visit the one in Atlanta and Nashville. The other warehouse does not have the quality of merchandise that Costco carries. |
| 234 - Charick Williamson 2008-07-09 03:43:40 | I think that with the addition of a Costco here in Knoxville it will give the public another choice besides SAMS. I have shopped at Costco in Atlanta and I've always liked their product selection and pricing. This clearly will be a great move for both the people here in the Knoxville metro area and Costco. |
| 235 - Julie Borg 2008-07-09 03:42:45 | How about putting a Costco in the Lenoir City new development area? |
| 236 - Wade 2008-07-08 20:31:28 | Maryville needs a Cosco. No one wants to drive to west Knoxville. |
| 237 - Phyllis Sack 2008-07-08 20:17:26 | I moved from Nashville to Crossville 6 years ago and I miss Costco terribly! Knoxville would love having a store and the people in my area would certainly frequent it. Keeping my fingers crossed!! |
| 238 - Ruth Huffstutler 2008-07-08 19:41:37 | I HAVE TRIED AND TRIED TO GET MY NAME ON THE LIST. I GOT THE E-MAIL AND CLICKED ON THE LINK BUT IT WILL NOT PUT MY NAME ON THE LIST, I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT I AM DOING WRONG, I HAVE DONE IT ALL RIGHT!!! |
| 239 - Julie 2008-07-08 17:22:48 | Costco is the best! I always make a stop when I am in Durham, NC. I would really like to have one here in Knoxville!!! |
| 240 - Kristie Fordyce 2008-07-08 16:54:21 | I've seen and read several press pieces about this petition but it took me some time to find the petition's web address! You may have better luck getting the signatures we need if the web address is more predominantly placed in your communications. Go Costco! |
| 241 - Paula Stovall 2008-07-08 15:59:07 | We would love a Costco here in the Knoxville Area. My Brother in Law presently works at the Tacoma, Washington Store and he has been trying to get transferred out here. He has heard, that Costco has purchased land some place in Knoxville to build. We just need to show them that we are serious about supporting them. COME COSTCO!!!! |
| 242 - Carole Cardwell 2008-07-08 15:50:50 | O.M.G. I would absolutely love to have a Costco in Knoxville!!! I e-mailed the Co. a year or so ago and got the same story, We'll look into it!!! My husband works for Costco and all his family lives in Knoxville and in close proximity. Oh how I would love to have him transfer to knoxville!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PUT ON IN KNOXVILLE!!!! |
| 243 - Jane Koopmann 2008-07-08 15:31:33 | I 've been working with Costco for about 4 years. We moved here from northern Ca. and loved them. I will send this website address on to the people at Costco. If you would like to know about my search call me at 777-0036. |
| 244 - loraine france 2008-07-08 15:19:18 | I am originally from Indianapolis and absolutely love Costco. I would gladly (GLADLY) give up my Sam's membership for Costco. Please bring costco to Knoxville. |
| 245 - John H. Nichols 2008-07-08 15:17:54 | I have been trying to get Costco since the store in Nashville, Cool Springs, opened several years ago with no comment from costco. Please let me know when they may decide to come to Knoxville. |
| 246 - david sharpe 2008-07-08 12:06:53 | I would love to have Costco come to the Knoxville area, better yet, how about the Lenoir City area. |
| 247 - Missy Assad 2008-07-08 07:09:59 | We have a Sam's club here in Johnson City, TN but in my opinion, there is no comparison to a Costco. We came here from New Mexico and truly miss our excursions to Costco for stocking up on EVERYTHING! |
| 248 - Bruce Hill 2008-07-08 06:33:28 | We have been waiting patiently for Costco, i refuse to join Sam's club, just don't like them. I've alway had a Costco near where we have lived except for Knoxville. We sure hope this works, we love you. |
| 249 - Mark Higginson 2008-07-08 06:04:47 | I have been a Costco Executive Member for eight years, shopping mostly in Avon, OH and the Polaris area in Columbus, OH. Recently we began the process of relocating to Knoxville, Tn and very much look forward to continuing our relationship with Costco in the Knoxville area. Keeping my fingers crossed. |
| 250 - wally manspeaker 2008-07-07 19:50:22 | I find the timing of this just great. I contacted Costco 2 weeks ago to ask if there were any plans to build in this area as my membership is about up, just having moved here from Mississippi. Costco said not at present but would look into it. |
| 251 - Tommy Stokes 2008-07-07 19:07:13 | Dear Everyone, Thanks for the signatures! I have been told by my web guys it is important to VERIFY the signature when receive e-mail notification of your participation. Apparently we have missed as many as 600 signatures so far! We are working to make the instructions clearer but please be aware of this. THIS IS IMPORTANT for a valid petition. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! |
| 252 - Jim Davis 2008-07-07 18:58:04 | Costco, please come to the Knoxville area. Plenty of good locations in surrounding areas. If you build, we'll visit. Shop at your store in Lancaster, PA and love it. |
| 253 - Peggy Littmann 2008-07-07 18:06:33 | I heard a very favorable report on CNN about how carefully Costco oversees quality control on its fresh produce. How no one has gotten ill from eating fresh fruits or vegetables. That is a very strong endorsement for me! |
| 254 - ann thatcher 2008-07-07 17:28:14 | I have been waiting for Costco to arrive for a long time. I feel the market is here for it. |
| 255 - John Stower 2008-07-07 17:15:21 | Currently drive to Kennesaw , Ga to buy at Costco. With gas prices as they are will probably switch to Knoxville's, Sams. |
| 256 - Sandy Carpenter 2008-07-07 16:52:00 | I would like to have Costco in Knoxville, Tennessee. |
| 257 - Nathan 2008-07-07 15:57:24 | I've never shopped at CostCo but my friend Beth H says I will love the place. I hope they have bags to put your merchandise in as you check out! |
| 258 - Martha Mathews 2008-07-07 15:37:50 | I have been trying to sign the petition but never get a return email or get on the list. What am I doing wrong? |
| 259 - Patricia McDonald 2008-07-07 15:28:25 | I've had a membership in California and cancelled it when we moved to Tenn because there were no stores close to us. Would love to see one in the Knoxville area. |
| 260 - David Foote 2008-07-07 14:47:49 | For over twenty years I have shopped at Costco in various states and I am looking forward to a Costco opening in Knoxville. |
| 261 - Matt Varney 2008-07-07 14:21:09 | I was reading some of these comments posted and I realized something. I feel like Knoxville could support 2 Costco stores easily. Costco stores are very clean and bright, and have a great selection of merchandise with great prices. Doesn't Costco have a database that would have the current mailing address for all their members? If they look at the zip codes they could see many members living around Knoxville. Costco please consider our community for a new store in West Knoxville! |
| 262 - Julie DeVries 2008-07-07 14:14:04 | We currently live in Boca Raton, FL and have property near Knoxville. I can't IMAGINE living without a Costco nearby. I do 80% of my shopping there and the quality and value is excellent. |
| 263 - sue burkholder 2008-07-07 13:59:34 | We need a Costco here in West Knoxville. I am a Costco shopper from Northern Virginia. I love Costco!!!!!!!! |
| 264 - kevin grimac 2008-07-07 12:53:54 | Moved to Knoxville almost one year ago - two things missing: Southwest Airlines and Costco. Personally I'm surprised that with all the incoming moving vans here in ET that Costco hasn't already purchased land. |
| 265 - Sybil Hollngsworth 2008-07-07 12:49:23 | We definitely NEED a Cost Co's in either Loudon County or W. Knoxville area. |
| 266 - J W 2008-07-07 12:44:37 | We have been members for years...moved to Knoxville 3 yrs ago and have to go to Atlanta for Costco once a month. There is alot of talk about wishing we had one close to us from friends and neighbors. Please bring us a Costco to Knoxville or Maryville!! |
| 267 - M. Snyder 2008-07-07 12:23:03 | My in-laws live in Phoenix. My first and only experience with a Costco...great!!! I e-mailed Costco and got the same response as above mentioned. Thank-you for this effort. I will spread the good news and send more signatures. May we prevail and experience excellent shopping! |
| 268 - Judth Ziler 2008-07-07 10:59:01 | Would love to be able to shop. |
| 269 - Elizabeth Tipton 2008-07-07 09:42:40 | Costco is SO much better than Sam's. |
| 270 - Randy MacDonald 2008-07-07 09:35:58 | I've heard such great things about Costco from people who are lucky enough to have them in their cities. Can't wait to find out for myself. |
| 271 - Micah M. 2008-07-07 09:29:07 | These are what James Sinegal, Costco's CEO, said in his two letters to me: February 8, 2008 -- "Thank you for your letter regarding Costco entry into the Knoxville vicinity of Tennessee. While we are currently exploring the market, and would expect to have a Costco in the Knoxville area, unfortunately we have not concluded a firm real estate deal. Thank you for your kind words and interest in Costco. We hope we will be able to take care of your shopping requirements in the not to distant future. Thank you for your kind words and interest in Costco." After I engraved some wine glasses in appreciation for his time, March 17, 2008 -- "Thank you for taking the time to write and for sending us the wine glasses. We now have special motivation for coming to the Knoxville market, and we hope to see you soon there soon. Again thanks for writing and your interest in Costco." These letters look optimistic, but they were clearly written fast. |
| 272 - MARK FRANKEL 2008-07-07 09:18:19 | I TALKED WITH A VERY KNOWLEDGABLE ASSOCIATE AT THE COOL SPRINGS STORE IN NASHVILLE A FEW MONTHS AGO. HE SAID THEY WANT TO PUT 3 STORES IN THE KNOXVILLE MARKET. TURKEY CREEK HE SAID IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN LOS ANGELES, SO THAT LOCALE IS OUT. I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH THE DEVELOPER OF THE EMORY RD I-75 NEW SHOPPING CENTER WHERE THE POWELL AIRPORT NOW IS LOCATED. THE SALE THE MAN SAID HE WOULD CALL COSTCO'S REAL ESTATE CONTACT IN NASH AND RUN THE SITE BY HIM. HE SAID THEY NEED ABOUT 12-15 ACRES PER STORE. THE STORE SIZE IS 125K SQ FT. AND HE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THEM AS AN ANCHOR. I TOLD HIM TO MAKE THEM AND OFFER THEY CAN'T REUFUSE! IT'S ABOUT TIME THE WESTIES AND EASTIES DRIVE NORTH, INSTEAD OF US MAKING DUE OR TRAVELING EAST AND WEST! |
| 273 - Tom Greene 2008-07-07 09:02:31 | We are just moving here from SE Michigan and have been Costco members for a very long time. We are very much looking forward to having the same benefit of a nearby Costco location after we complete our move later this year. THANKS for considering putting in a Costco for us. |
| 274 - Robert Fehr 2008-07-07 08:57:42 | Verifying petition signature. I do want Costco. Robert Fehr |
| 275 - Sherri Tipton 2008-07-07 08:27:01 | I shop at Costco for my Mom who lives in the Knoxville area! I urge you to serioulsy study the demographics of not only Knoxville but the surrounding areas - especially Tellico Village. You will not be sorry to have a location in the Knoxville area. Every time I visit - about once per quarter - someone mentions Costco! Gas is too expensive for me to keep shopping for my mom and driving things to her! :-) |
| 276 - Barbara Whitman 2008-07-07 08:08:38 | Knoxville needs a COSTCO |
| 277 - Sharon Whetsell 2008-07-07 08:05:29 | We have shopped at Costco for many years before moving to ET. We really miss it!! My husband travels in his job, and when he finds a Costco, he always stops and shops. We would love one in this area. |
| 278 - Bonita Stephens 2008-07-07 07:12:39 | Somewhere in the Farragut or Lenoir City area would be great!! so many of us some from the south or west side of town and rarely go north of Cedar Bluff Rd. This would bring the traffic from I75 and I40. Honestly, I now shop at WalMart and I don't like supporting them for many reasons. We own a company with approx. 150 employees and also have over 30 family members in the business. We are very active in Loudon and Knox County and would support Costco to the limit. |
| 279 - PETE WILLCOX 2008-07-07 04:22:56 | ADD OUR NAMES TO THE LIST; PETE & ELAINE WILLCOX |
| 280 - Lynn Hughes 2008-07-06 16:08:07 | yes! |
| 281 - Jim & Carol Noonan 2008-07-06 15:15:29 | I signed the petition but our names do not appear??? |
| 282 - SANDI AMMON 2008-07-06 15:02:52 | GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR COSTCO IN LENOIR CITY AREA WITH 2 NEW DEVELOPMENTS. WE WILL GET THE LIQUOR LAWS CHANGED THIS FALL!! |
| 283 - elizabeth parrini 2008-07-06 14:38:29 | Hi, I read your article in the paper on Friday but it didn't include your website address. some people won't go to the trouble to track you down. I moved here a year ago from California. I asked a young woman in one of the shops if there was a Costco here and she said "I wish". It's almost primitive not to have a Costco. Yea! Good Luck! |
| 284 - Cindy Brittingham 2008-07-06 14:20:58 | Why not add a spot for a Costco membership number for those of us who have maintained our membership even tho there isn't one close by? |
| 285 - Eleanor Mae Reed 2008-07-06 10:08:01 | We would like one in Maryville if Knxville is not feasible. |
| 286 - Leslie Phillips 2008-07-06 07:45:03 | We have been members in other states, California and New Jersey, and miss the store. This city is growing and at this moment only has Sam's and are they busy. They need some competition. and I think we would all like to have your store here. Come on down. |
| 287 - Tommy Stokes 2008-07-05 19:30:30 | I want to thank all the folks who are signing the petition. We are making great progress. . . tell your friends! This is a grassroots campaign and may take a little while but there are many folks spreading the word and this is what it takes! I am sorry the e-mail address was not printed in the paper! We will try to remedy that in the future. FIY there is sometimes a delay seeing your name on the petition immediately. It helps if you "refresh your browser" but if that doesn't work your name should appear in 24 hours. Everyone who signs should receive an e-mail confirmation. If you do not, try again. Thank you again for all the support. I have heard from some of the nicest people who want Costco. Costco really draws a fine bunch of folks. |
| 288 - J.R. Ristow 2008-07-05 13:50:03 | I signed up for the petition but I couldn't verify my signature on my computer. Add my name to the list and also my husband wdristow@aol.com |
| 289 - John & Mina Stockdale 2008-07-05 13:40:32 | We have lived several places -- and Costco is the best store we have shopped in!!!! The quality is great as well as the prices. We're tired of Sam's Club. |
| 290 - Barb Hesse 2008-07-05 13:25:08 | Husband/I are moving to Tellico Village 8/2. Costco would be huge improvement over Sam's. Build in Lenoir City in the Town Center or whatever its called. |
| 291 - Carol G. Hornbaker 2008-07-05 12:30:42 | There are many of us that moved here from a Costco area, [ie] California and miss "our" store. I drove to Nashville a few times but it is just too far, 2 1/2 hrs one way. |
| 292 - Larry Bos 2008-07-05 11:49:13 | My wife and I have been members at Costco for years (from when it was called the Price Club). That is until we moved to East TN. Costco is much better than Sam's - more selection, better quality goods. When Costco is in town, we will cancel our Sams's membership. |
| 293 - Barb Brannick 2008-07-05 09:57:15 | My favorite store to shop when I lived in CA and AZ was COSTCO. Knoxville could definitely benefit if we had a Costco in our area. They treat their employees so much better than Wal-Mart or Sams and the turnover is almost none. Go on-line and read about Costco and what they offer their employees, as well as the consumer. |
| 294 - karen keirstead 2008-07-05 09:56:18 | Put it in the new center on route 75 in Lenoir City. People from zip code 37774 are never included in the demographics for Lenoir City 37771 and we are the big spenders. We give most of our money to Knoxville between 18-28 miles away. Help us. Bring the store closer. |
| 295 - David C Roth 2008-07-05 09:36:03 | There are many "transplants" in the Knoxville area, especially in retiree areas on the lakes, who were Costco members where they used to live. A large membership base is waiting! |
| 296 - ken treece 2008-07-05 09:22:22 | Costco would be a great addition to this area in East Tennessee. I am convinced they would sell their socks off in West Knoxville where they would draw from all the surrounding counties, especially in the Hwy 321 section of Lenoir City, one of the fastest growing areas in the country. |
| 297 - JO ANN ROBERTS 2008-07-05 09:22:09 | NEED COSTCO IN KNOXVILLE |
| 298 - Dennis Neustel 2008-07-05 08:33:05 | PLEASE....We really need a Costco in the Turkey Creek area of Knoxville or Lenoir City Area. |
| 299 - Barbara Ross 2008-07-05 04:39:09 | I belonged to Costco (and its predecessor Price Club) for years when I lived in California. It is a great store with lots and lots of good quality merchandise at great prices! We need one here. That store and my kids are the only things in California that I miss!!! |
| 300 - Susan Auten 2008-07-05 04:20:03 | I have been a Costco member for several years having joined when we lived in MI. I still shop there when we visit family. IT WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE A STORE IN KNOXVILLE! |
| 301 - W Reagan 2008-07-04 22:34:53 | I lived in Wash., DC for 27+ years and loved Costco. Now living in Sevier County, I'm having to adapt to Sam's Club. It hurts. The difference between Costco and Sam's is like the difference between Neiman-Marcus and K-Mart. We need Costco! |
| 302 - Linda 2008-07-04 20:17:47 | After being members in MI for many years, we were shocked to find out there was no Costco in the Knoxville area. Please open a store in this area. |
| 303 - ROSALIE LYNN RATCLIFFE 2008-07-04 20:15:10 | When I lived in N.J. I went to Cosco all the time. Would love to see one open in Turkey Creek. |
| 304 - Linda Andrew 2008-07-04 18:10:45 | Have been a Costco member for 20+ years and upon moving to Knoxville area last year I could not believe there was no Costco. Costco at Turkey Creek works for me. Do your research Costco and move to Knoxville with the rest of us! |
| 305 - Sue Newman 2008-07-04 16:34:27 | Longtime Costco members, we have been making "Costco runs" from Knoxville to Atlanta to stock up on our favorite products. Given the increase in the price of gas, we will have to do our shopping a little closer to home. If Costco doesn't open a store here, we will be giving up our membership. |
| 306 - Santiago Ramirez 2008-07-04 14:35:58 | We were Costco members in So Cal & Miami for over 20 years. It was strange to have to go somewhere else when we arrived in Knoxville. There are Costco stores all over this region and with every truck on this side of the US driving through our town they could at least stop and drop off some Kirkland products! A location may include somewhere off the Pellissippi, like Hardin Valley. We also need a Trader Joe's. Nashville is getting the first one. 'Nuff said. |
| 307 - Phillip Szuromi 2008-07-04 13:47:24 | Miss Costco, moved from DC recently |
| 308 - Thomas Gold 2008-07-04 13:32:49 | We just moved here from the DC area--we miss our Costco in Arlington. |
| 309 - The Crofts 2008-07-04 12:52:36 | Tommy...great story in July 4th News Sentinel but why didn't they put in the on line petition address? Just think of all the people who would have signed up then. We do need a Cosco. We will drive the 50 miles to get there. |
| 310 - Mrs. R. Faster 2008-07-04 10:56:01 | We have a Costco near us in Fort Myers Florida (Our Winter Home), Boy do I miss your store here in East TN. Please consider our request. |
| 311 - rebernard 2008-07-04 09:44:50 | We have belonged to Costco for over 20 years and have been in Loudon Co. and Costco-less for 5 years. We spend over $2000 a year at Atlanta Costcos and for want of a Costco locally we spend well over $2000 a year at Knoxville's Sam's Club. In addition, there are 7000 people in Tellico Village (Loudon Co.)with tremendous buying power, who all know and love Costco. Costco is missing a good location in Knoxville. |
| 312 - Alan & Nita merlin 2008-07-04 08:36:26 | My daughter lives in Huntsville Ala. We are Costco Members there. There Kirkland produsts are of better quality as are some of the other products they sell at usually better prices than sams. WE go to Huntsville an average of twice a month and spend an average of over $200.00 in there store when we visit. Look forward to your being able to bring Costco to Knoxville. Alan & Nita Merlin |
| 313 - Bob South 2008-07-04 08:22:52 | My family was a Costco member in Indiana for several years. We were disappointed to find that there were no Costcos in the Knoxville area. |
| 314 - tennspringh2o 2008-07-04 07:01:44 | I have been a Costco member for 15 years. We moved to Knoxville 2 years ago from WA state. I kept my membership and shop in Louisville or Nashville whenever I am working in those areas. BUT - I WANT ONE HERE!!! Exit 407 off I-40 would be closer for me, but I will gladly drive to Parkside & Campbell Station. |
| 315 - Dan Archer 2008-07-04 05:11:06 | We have contacted Costco several times to give them information about the area so they could realize that they were missing out on a major market for their store. Another potential site for their store exists on Parkside East of Turkey Creek. Keep up the good work! |
| 316 - poontang 2008-07-04 04:23:57 | I heard that they may open a costco up on the GA side of Chattanoga...for tax purposes. still better than nashville or atl |
| 317 - Kanders 2008-07-03 16:49:18 | That is nice that Mr. Marks from Costco wrote a message on your site. Aside from passing this on to Real Estate, he might want to check with shipping where he will find that a VERY LARGE number of his items shipped come right through the I-40 / I-75 corridor and thus would make a logical step to place a store AND distribution. |
| 318 - Cecilia Bridges 2008-07-03 14:42:05 | Bringing Costco to Knoxville would be great, but MUST it be down in Turkey Creek? There are a LOT of people in North and East Knoxville that would love to shop there but not if we have to drive 20 miles to get there...not with gas prices the way they are now. Maybe they could take a look at the soon-to-be vacant WalMart property in Halls. Or somewhere close to Knoxville Center Mall, if that is not so desirable. |
| 319 - Dave Smith 2008-07-03 13:34:26 | Dear David, I have written several times. Costco has no plans for Knoxville. Thank you for your e-mail to Costco Wholesale. Currently we do not have any public information regarding plans to open a Costco in your area. Our real estate personnel are continually looking for ideas for new locations around the country and around the world. We will forward your suggestion to our Real Estate Department so they are aware of your interest. Sincerely, S. Marks ExecutiveServices |
| 320 - Rudy Richter 2008-07-03 13:25:44 | As a long time COSTCO Member and a newbie to the Knoxville area, I sent COSTCO an email about a year ago and told them they needed a location HERE. They told me they had no plans at that time and said they would forward my email to their Real Estate department. They don't know what they are missing. |
| 321 - Brenda Hopper 2008-07-03 13:03:44 | We've been Costco members for a few years. We shop at Nashville and Memphis warehouses whenever we get a chance. Knoxville - you don't know what you're missing. WE WANT COSTCO! |
| 322 - Danny Lee Balkema 2008-07-03 11:55:40 | I would go to Costco any day of the week. |
| 323 - Brad Petty 2008-07-03 10:01:36 | I would go to Costco over Sam's any day of the week. |
| 324 - Bernadette Donohue 2008-07-03 09:26:28 | KUDOS to you! I had one in No CA and hate there aren't any here. |
| 325 - Amy 2008-07-03 09:18:27 | I loved Costco when I lived in Atlanta. PLEASE come to Knoxville! |
| 326 - Bob 2008-06-26 05:32:52 | We have to go to Nashville to go to Costco. I sure would like to have one closer! Please come to Knoxville |
| 327 - jane franks 2008-06-24 06:40:10 | I love costco. The prices are better than Sams and the quality is better. |
| 328 - Sarah 2008-06-23 06:15:51 | I personally use Costco when I visit family in Atlanta. I like it better than Sam's. The difference for me is the products they sell, name brand clothing, most food products they sell are brand names vs. just their brand. |
